SIGNIFICANT LANDSCAPE ZELENJAK

Zelenjak Valley is part of the gorge that extends from the river Sutla and reefs of Risvica and Cesargrad mountains on area of about 50 hectares. Since 1949. is protected as a natural rarity and since 1961. as a natural reserve - Forest Park and Memorial Nature monument. In 2011 there was a re-categorization and changes to the boundaries of the protected area, which is extended to Risvica and Cesargradska mountain and its total area is now 287 ha, it also enjoys the protection of the category of significant landscape. In this way, managing the activities of the proclaimed area, seeks to preserve its biodiversity and landscape, as well as cultural and historical value.
