REX Location: Bistrica ob Sotli Category: Skulptures, monuments and memorials

The statue was made in 2004 as a gift from the Heimschuh municipality from Austria. Their friendly relationship with Bistrica ob Sotli municipality results from the gatherings of Königsbergs. The Bistrica ob Sotli municipality has been joining those gatherings because of the German origin of the Kunšpek’s old name.

The statue of Rex, which was sculptured by Richard Gert, is located on the lawn next to the City hall. On the statue there is an inscription saying: “Poti, ki zbližujejo” (eng. Paths that gather).
